> ℹ️ *“Primary” and “Secondary” only refers to PC roles.  Audio sharing is based on the “sender” (which sends audio) and “receiver” (which plays it).*

Try each of these steps in order until your audio is working correctly:

### 1. Restart and confirm basic settings

- Reboot **both** the sender and the receiver PCs.
- Check that audio sharing is enabled on **both** computers:

- If audio is already enabled, try turning it off and then back on again (on **both **sender and receiver).

### 2. Check network identification

- Instead of using the hostname, enter the **IP address** of the receiver in the sender’s settings. Then save the changes:

### 3. Firewall / inbound rules

- Make sure the **Multiplicity Inbound rule** is enabled in the firewall on **each** PC.
- As a test, temporarily disable **all** firewalls (including those from antivirus software) on both PCs to see if audio starts working.

### 4. Hardware signal detection

- Disable “jack detection” on the sender PC. Some systems won’t send audio unless they “detect” an output device plugged in.

- Plug in earbuds or an external device to ensure Windows registers the physical connection to allow audio to be sent.

### 5. Unmuting / signal status

- Check that the sender isn’t muted (and allowed to be unmuted).

- Make sure it's actually sending audio (not just that the setting is on).
