When using Multiplicity, typing on a secondary PC may result in random or incorrect characters.  This is typically caused by antivirus or security software on the primary PC. Some of these programs include features like **keyboard protection** or **anti-keylogging**, which are designed to scramble keystrokes across remote connections.

### **Solution**

1. **Check Security Software**  
Look for features like *keyboard encryption*, *input scrambling*, or *anti-keylogger* in your antivirus or privacy tools.
2. **Disable the Feature**  
Temporarily turn off keyboard/input protection. This resolves the issue in most cases.
3. **Restart Multiplicity**  
After disabling the setting, restart Multiplicity on both PCs.
4. **Verify Keyboard Layouts**  
Ensure both PCs use the same keyboard layout and any keyboard-related software is installed on both ends if needed.

### **Still Having Trouble?**

- Test without the security software temporarily.
- Try a different keyboard.
- Reinstall Multiplicity if needed.
